"It's not true I had nothing on, I had the radio on." -Marilyn Monroe

When I asked others what character I reminded them of I got a lot of bogus answers.. Juno, Sam from iCarly, or Spongebob, . But there's one that really stuck out to me and made me wonder.. Her name is Marilyn Monroe and this should be fun trying to compare and contrast myself to such a great icon and personally, my idol.

One of the many things that make us different is that Marilyn once admitted that she does things that she never wanted to do, but she did it because others wanted her to. She's a people pleaser, and I'm the complete opposite. I'm not one who does things out of my character just to make others happy, I was raised to do things for myself and not to change who I am for another persons contentment. Her image, is not who she really is. Marilyn was known as a sex icon and someone who represented a real woman, but she was far from it. She was innocent and far from what her image was. She was told that her alluring beauty and voluptuous curves would make her famous so she went with it and was named "The Sexiest Woman of the Century" by People Magazine. Yes, it worked in her favor but she ended up being admitted into a mental asylum because of it. It wasn't who she really was, it was all an image and that's something I'd never do. I'd never go against who I truly am for fortune and fame.

Who are you to judge the life I live? I'm not perfect and I don't live to be. So before you start pointing fingers make sure your hands are clean.

If I had to create a bumper sticker that modeled my philosophy for life it would be, "Who are you to judge the life I live? I'm not perfect and I don't live to be. So before you start pointing fingers make sure your hands are clean." this quote is from from Bob Marley and to me it speaks the truth. There is always one person who is judging another based on actions or opinions and it isn't right. Half the time when they're judging another person they seem to forget that they're not perfect either. It's one of my biggest pet peeves so I feel this quote is perfect for me :)
